Westminster Abbey has a ring of ten bells hung in the north-west tower. They are rung for major church festivals and special services, on the anniversaries of the Queen's accession, coronation and wedding, and on other notable occasions such as the Queen's official birthday and Commonwealth Day.
It is traditional to ring the bells at the conclusion of a service, but when the Sovereign is attending the bells are also rung beforehand.
