Crown Tapestry Bell Pull

This regal bell pull is adorned with a crowns and regalia design. It is finished to the top with a brass coloured metal hanger which adds to the opulent finish.

The Crown Jewels, which are used today in Coronations and other ceremonial events in the United Kingdom, are the Regalia which have been used by English Kings and Queens since 1660 or earlier. England is the only European monarchy still using its Regalia for the consecration ceremony of crowning the Sovereign.
At Westminster Abbey, where William I was the first Monarch to be crowned, individuals carrying the processional regalia escort the Sovereign to the Coronation Chair (used at every coronation since 1300).
The tapestry been woven on a Jacquard loom by Flemish Master Weavers, giving an exceptionally fine but hard wearing weave.
Originally a bell pull was a woven textile, pull cord, handle, or other object that connected with a bell or bell wire, and which rang a bell when pulled. They were used to summon workers in homes of people who had butlers, maids or other servants, and often had a tassel at the bottom.
Our tapestries are created with the greatest care in the finest materials. This tapestry therefore requires no other maintenance other than a dry-dusting with a soft brush. If required please dry clean only.
Fabrics by their nature are flexible; during storage, humidity & temperature may occasionally affect their shape and also cause creasing. To help a tapestry hang better we recommend using a dry iron on a cotton setting. Lightly iron the tapestry (on the face) from the centre towards the edges. In very extreme cases the tapestry can be stretched by pulling the panel gently by hand diagonally to re-shape.
