Description
This graceful wall tapestry has been woven in a wool blend on a Jacquard loom by Master Flemish weavers. It has been faithfully reproduced from a stained glass window at Christ Church Cathedral Oxford designed by Edward Burne-Jones & made by the Morris Co. E.Burne-Jones & William Morris met whilst at Oxford taking Holy Orders. Here they gained inspiration from the writings of Ruskin, & decided they wanted to become artists. Ruskin saw the work of Rossetti & the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood as 'the dawn of a new era of art'.
