Exclusively made for Westminster Abbey this highly detailed and embellished 2023 cross decoration is inspired by the recently constructed Weston Tower at Westminster Abbey. The elegant looping bronze tracery which is on the glass of the tower is replicated on the arms of the cross while the rich velvets and beading reflect the historical textiles housed in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries above. The arms also reflect the Christian fish motif on the crossbar.

This decoration has been hand made in India by St Nicolas using the traditional rare and respected method of zardozi. Zardozi is a highly skilled embroidery technique that traditionally used gold wires and jewels to embellish courtly robes.
