Description
Fanfares and anthems commissioned by previous monarchs, together with classic hymn settings and marches, all combine to recall the Queen's Coronation service of 1953. The musical forces deployed on that occasion included a choir of over 400 and a large orchestra The Westminster Abbey Choir is joined here by the English Chamber Orchestra and London Brass.
The performances are conducted by the Abbey's Organist and Master of the Choristers, Martin Neary, who himself sang as a treble at the Coronation, as one of the children of Her Majesty's Chapels Royal.
