Byzantine Cross Cufflinks

Inspired by Byzantine art, these elegant domed cross designs are framed in a fine straight-legged rhodium plated cufflink, with the Sonia Spencer signature on the fixed oval back. They are presented in a stylish box with colour contrast flip top lid and the face of each cufflink measures H1.7 x L1.7 cm.
Byzantine art was developed out of the art of the Roman Empire, which was itself profoundly influenced by ancient Greek art. Byzantine art never lost sight of this classical heritage. One of the most important genres of Byzantine art was the icon, an image of Christ, the Virgin, or a saint, used as an object of veneration in churches and private homes alike.
