Westminster Abbey 750th Anniversary 24 Carat Gold Plated Medal

  • The 750th Anniversary collection celebrates the rebuilding of Westminster Abbey by Henry III which started in 1245 and was completed when the church was consecrated on the 13th October 1269. The Eastern section including the Cosmati Pavement and the Shrine of St Edward The Confessor dates from Henry III’s reign and forms the spiritual heart of Westminster Abbey which we know today.

The 24 carat gold plated medal would make a lovely gift to commemorate such a special anniversary of the Abbey. The pattern around the edge of the medal is inspired by the cosmati work on the shrine of Edward the Confessor and the lions on the reverse side of the medal is inspired by Henry III's tomb.
